Château de Brécy
The charm of this 17th-century château is on display at the gateway. However, it is behind the gatehouse, in the enclosed garden, that the poetry of Brécy is fully expressed.
An exquisite homage of the goddess Flora : five terraced gardens rise up with hedges in embroidered and allegorical designs, griffons and chimeras, in a vast harmony of balusters girdled by acanthus, pilasters crowned with flame ornaments and a grill that is open to the sky...
