Fees and Opening days :
Everyday from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm from the 1st of March to the 15th of November. On request during the winter.
Adult : 8 Euros. Students and young people between 10 and 12 years : 6,50 Euros. Free for children less than 10 years old.
Groups (15 people minimum) : 6,50 Euros/person.

Description :

La Ballue is a chateau of legends. For eleven centuries it seems to have exercised only one power over men, the power of arousing the passions of its owners. Created in 1973 by 2 architects of high value, François-Hebert Stevens and Paul Maymont, the gardens present 13 "surprises" for the visitor, a series of theatrical gardens in the baroque or mannerist style of the 16th and 17th centuries. These include a fernery, a water trap, a scented chamber, an open air theatre, a temple of Diane, a maze and many other delights.
