Half-way between Caen and the D-Day beaches, the château of Fontaine-Henry over looks the lush green valley of the Mue. Its spectacular roofs surmount a façade richly carved in the successive styles of the 15th and 16th centuries. The interior (guided tour) contains also furniture, paintings and objets d'art.
