Musée du Prieuré
Sculpted on the facade of the Hôtel des Portugais, a servant girl with pitcher in hand unveils a comely knee to attract the customer... This fine 15th-century house was an inn where “estrangiers”, that is Portuguese merchants and ship owners (benefiting from an exclusive royal privilege!), stayed while in port.
Feasts in the common room and sleeping quarters upstairs, all behind stone walls and half-timbering. It now houses the Priory Museum whose collections bear witness to the glories of Harfleur's past.
