| Musée Victor Hugo (1802-1885)

A cosy, red-brick house. Behind the windows, time has stood still, suspended for eternity on that fateful day of 4 September 1843 when the Seine carried Léopoldine away. Dear Léopoldine, Hugo's beloved daughter.
The river may continue to flow, but here everything is preserved as it was: the furniture, the first-edition books, the letters, the drawings and the walls covered with poems. Everything here breathes in unison with the Giant of Literature.
